FaceMemory is published by Stephen Bertrand. This policy describes how the iPhone app handles information.
Data the app does not collect
The app does not create accounts, show ads, include analytics, or send information to a server. There is no tracking across other companies’ apps or websites. Photos and face crops never leave this iPhone.
Photos and faces
FaceMemory reads photos in your Photo Library so it can find faces and turn them into game tiles. Face detection runs on this device using Apple’s Vision framework. Face crops used in a game are kept in the app’s sandbox on this iPhone. They are not uploaded, shared, or used to identify people across photos.
You can play from any faces the app finds (Open) or from a list you curate (Curated). iOS will ask for Photo Library permission before the app reads photos. You can revoke that permission in Settings.
Saved on this device
Game settings, history, and which faces you have already played are stored only on this iPhone. Uninstalling the app removes that information. It is not copied to iCloud or to the developer.
Children
FaceMemory is a memory game intended for a general audience, including older adults, with no in-app purchases, ads, or social features. Because it uses photos already on the device, a parent or caregiver should decide which photo library is used.
